Exion Treatment: Face, RF, Clear RF and Body
Exion is not a single treatment. The platform has four handpieces with different roles for the face, skin surface and body. I first identify the tissue concern, then decide whether Exion Face, Exion RF, Exion Clear RF or Exion Body is appropriate.
What Is Exion and Which Treatments Does It Include?
Exion is a multi-application platform that uses radiofrequency, ultrasound and, depending on the handpiece, microneedling or microablation technology. The handpieces do not treat the same problem. A needle-free facial treatment, RF microneedling, surface renewal and body contouring should not be described as one generic “Exion treatment”.
I therefore begin with the tissue rather than the device name. Mild laxity, enlarged pores and scarring, superficial texture concerns and limited body fat require different plans.
Exion Face: Needle-Free Skin Quality and Mild Tightening
Exion Face is the needle-free handpiece I use to support hydration, skin quality and mild tightening of the face and neck. It combines radiofrequency and ultrasound energy without injecting dermal filler.
I do not use Exion Face to slim the face or reduce facial fat. Its ability to support skin quality without uncontrolled facial fat loss associated with some older energy systems is one reason I value this treatment.
The treatment is painless and I do not use anaesthesia. When facial or neck descent is marked, I do not present Exion Face as equivalent to a surgical facelift.
Exion RF: RF Microneedling
Exion RF is a radiofrequency microneedling treatment. In Türkiye this category is often called “golden needle”. It can be used for pores, fine lines, acne scars, selected surgical scars and overall skin texture.
Because microneedles are used, we apply topical anaesthetic cream. In my practice I recommend four sessions and plan a minimum of three. I consider the next session once the tissue reaction has settled, often at around ten days.
Redness and sensitivity may last from three days to one week depending on the patient. As collagen remodelling continues, I assess the final response at approximately six months after the last session.
Exion Clear RF: Fractional RF Microablation for Skin Renewal
Exion Clear RF is sometimes incorrectly written as “Exion Clean RF”. The correct name is Clear RF. Its main role is not lifting the face or body; it uses controlled fractional RF microablation for skin surface, texture and tone renewal.
I therefore do not apply the Exion Face or Exion RF protocol automatically to Clear RF. The area, concern and expected recovery are assessed separately.
Exion Body: Body Contouring and Mild Skin Tightening
Exion Body is the painless handpiece I use to assess limited localised fat and mild laxity of the lower abdomen, back, flanks, inner thighs and arms. It requires no anaesthesia and I do not impose routine restrictions on daily activities afterwards.
I recommend four sessions and plan a minimum of three, usually two weeks apart. Because the tissue response continues, I assess the result at around six months after the last session.
Exion Body is not a weight-loss treatment. It does not replace liposuction for larger fat deposits or a tummy, arm or thigh lift when there is folded excess skin.

A patient may have more than one concern. I select the handpiece according to skin surface, treatment depth, fat distribution and true excess skin rather than the similarity of the product names.
Why Do Sessions, Recovery and Results Differ Between Exion Treatments?
There is no single session number, interval or recovery period for every Exion handpiece. Face and Body are needle-free, RF uses microneedles and Clear RF creates controlled microablation at the surface. The energy, target layer and tissue response are different.
Daily activities can usually resume immediately after Face and Body. Redness and sensitivity are more visible after Exion RF. Aftercare following Clear RF depends on the area and intensity. I judge the result through the remodelling period rather than by appearance on the day of treatment alone.
Exion vs HIFU, Ultherapy, Morpheus8 and Scarlet
These are not different names for the same treatment. HIFU and Ultherapy are focused-ultrasound systems, while Morpheus8 and Scarlet S/X belong to the RF microneedling category. I do not offer HIFU or Ultherapy in my clinic. When RF microneedling is appropriate I use Exion RF; for a needle-free facial treatment I use Exion Face. A useful comparison considers energy type, target tissue and the patient’s actual concern rather than treating device names as a competition.
What Determines the Cost of Exion Treatment?
Exion treatment cost depends on the handpiece, number and size of treatment areas and planned course of sessions. Treating one facial area with Exion Face is not the same scope as using Exion Body across several body areas or treating texture and scars with Exion RF. A clear plan and price can be provided after assessment.

Is Exion treatment painful?

“Golden needle” is a term commonly used in Türkiye for RF microneedling. Exion RF is the Exion platform’s treatment in this category.
What is the difference between Exion Clear RF and Exion RF?
Exion RF uses microneedles to work at selected depths. Clear RF uses controlled microablation and focuses more on the skin surface, texture and tone.
Can Exion completely correct loose skin?
It may support mild tightening. It is not equivalent to surgery when there is folded excess skin or marked facial and neck descent.
When are Exion results visible?
An early improvement in freshness or firmness may be noticed, while the main tissue response develops over weeks and months. Timing differs by handpiece and individual tissue.
Why does Exion cost vary?
The handpiece, number of areas, treatment-area size and course of sessions all affect the scope and cost.
